SAE100 R5 Cotton/Polyester Covered Steel Wire Braided Hydraulic Hose

If you deal with hydraulic hose wear on mobile machinery, this SAE 100 R5 hose solves one specific pain point: constant abrasion and scratches where hoses rub against frames, bolts or adjacent lines. Unlike standard R5 hoses with smooth rubber outer covers, this version comes with an impregnated fiber braided sheath, the biggest advantage for friction-heavy medium pressure circuits.

The inner tube is made of oil-resistant synthetic rubber. A single layer of high-tensile steel wire braid handles medium working pressure and absorbs minor pressure spikes during machine startup. The impregnated fiber outer sheath bonds firmly to the rubber base, resisting scraping and surface peeling that quickly wears out regular rubber covers. 

Working temperature spans -40℃ to +100℃ . It remains flexible in cold conditions and holds stable performance under normal medium heat.

Important note: this is a medium-pressure hose, not suitable for heavy high-pressure applications that need 4SP or 4SH.

The inner tube works with petroleum hydraulic oils, lube oils and diesel. For water glycol or synthetic ester fluids, you need to verify compatibility before assembly. Its single wire braid keeps the hose flexible, simpler to route in tight chassis spaces, as long as you follow the SAE minimum bend radius.

We supply this fiber-jacketed R5 mainly for agricultural machinery, light construction equipment, truck and trailer hydraulics, plus factory hydraulic tool systems.
